M. Fine Lot Development

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This project consisted of excavating and grading the existing topography to install a new parking lot. APC began by installing a compacted stone base for the new parking lot and the alley way behind the parking lot. An electrical conduit and concrete base for new lighting poles were installed, as well as drainage structures and drainage pipes. Some of the existing sidewalk was removed and replaced with new ADA compliant crosswalks. A concrete privacy wall with decorative limestone veneer was built along the perimeter of the lot facing Main Street. A wooden privacy fence was built along the remaining perimeter. APC installed an HMA Base course and HMA Surface course along with a monolithic concrete curb and gutter around the lot. APC added signs and striping to complete the construction of the lot.

For this drainage improvement project, we began with excavating the existing breaking down the roadway and old-style concrete culvert to install a brand new concrete box culvert. After excavating the site, we then regraded the drainage bank area to ensure proper water flow. The new culvert box is 10’ wide by 4’ tall and 60’ long. After placing the new culvert boxes we began to form and pour concrete wing walls on each end of the structure. We then added a rip-rap stone base and paved a new roadway.
